August 24, 1921, Council of Labor and Defense issued an order for the establishment of the Central Bureau for the Service of Foreigners – Burobin (predecessor of GlavUpDK). The organization was providing diplomatic missions in Moscow with accommodation, furniture, equipment, and food. The more international relations the country established, the more mansions and services the company gained.

The film uses footage previously unknown to the public taken from the Foreign Policy Archives of the Russian Federation.
Viewers will learn about the prerequisites and reasons for the Burobin establishment, as well as about the evacuation of foreign diplomats to Kuybyshev (currently Samara) during the Great Patriotic War. The film is rich with unique facts about the cultural heritage sites managed by the company; it also introduces viewers to the interiors of the Zinaida Morozova mansion (Spiridonovka Street, 17, Moscow), where the Reception House of the Russian Foreign Ministry accommodates nowadays hosting high-profile international meetings.
